Hello !

I am Timothée Guy, a deep learning enthusiast. I was first graduated from CentraleSupélec in 2019 and pursued at first a career of automation engineer at Parrot for 2 years. During this time I developed an autonomous photogrammetry feature for drones. In a short summary, making 3D models from multiple pictures taken when flying around a scene. One application of photogrammetry is the 3D models visible with Google Earth. For example, here is a 3D model of the Luxembourg Palace in Paris:

But in mid 2021, I discovered a course by a certain Andrew Ng on Machine Learning. Not only did I discover a new exciting field, but I sensed a great potential to pursue on this path. I then did the Deep Learning specialization and this further convinced me that this was a land full of opportunities.

So I returned to studies at ENS Paris-Saclay and followed the Master MVA (for Mathématiques Vision et Apprentissage or Mathematics vision and learning), a research master program in applied mathematics. This was an intensive year but it left me with not only a view on the new and state-of-the-art models to solve complex tasks on whole range of data types, but also ways to understand what make those models efficient, their strength and limitations through meticulous analysis.

As 2024 begins, I want to be more active in the Machine Learning and Deep Learning community. This website will serve to record my progress towards my various commitments of 2024, but also to share them with whoever will see them. Among my goals for 2024:

• Becoming Master rank on Kaggle
• Creating a github project with at least 50 stars
• Keep a blog where I publish many articles on my insights

On the content I might published:

• Article summary: Summarizing article is a challenge that implies a solid comprehension of a topic. To explain well in a few understandable words, one should have grasped core concepts and key takeaways
• News about breakaway in the industry: technology evolves at very fast pace, and monitoring advances can be challenging. I will try at regular intervals to curate some interesting articles.
• Some feedback on my personal work: Whether it be on data processing, modeling, or on a particular experience, if I happen to find it rewarding and insightful, I will post my impressions to share with you what I learned
